A note from the artist:
"I incorporated creative writing concepts such as tone and rich language to demonstrate my knowledge of the tragic last scene in
Hamlet. I incorporated the concept of rich language to identify Horatio's questioning in his best friend's actions. I also used the concept of tone to identify how Horatio didn't want Hamlet to die, but thought Hamlet may lose his life."
The sense of Horatio's questioning comes across really well in this entry. Diary entries are a great way to convey what a character is thinking, to make visible what we may not see in the original play. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteI like the way Horatio shows his own hesitancy (maybe drink the poison, maybe stab himself) even as he wishes Hamlet would get on with the job of killing Claudius. This adds another layer of complexity to the theme of indecision in the play.
