A note from the artist:
"Old Hamlet says 'I am thy father spirit doomed for certain term to walk the night,' and finds out about Claudius' wrong doings and he tells Hamlet to seek revenge in his honor, he also tells Hamlet how Claudius killed him by putting poison in his ear. Hamlet after hearing this goes mad. I basically made a goodbye letter to Hamlet and telling him what Old Hamlet wishes him and farewells."
What a creative way to reinterpret the passing on of Old Hamlet's message and intentions for Hamlet. The various details at the top of the letter, and a signature, do well to add to the flair of the piece. Good work.
ReplyDeleteLots of voice in this letter! Love the letterhead, too - Old Hamlet's got style.
ReplyDeleteThis letter manages to include all the major characters in the play. It also puts a lot of pressure on Hamlet to set everything right. You can almost feel Hamlet's guilt and fear of disappointing his father.
ReplyDeleteYour letter has a very noble tone in line with the era of Hamlet but do I detect a sense of humor and cynicism, too? Love it....
